Who is responsible for your data
The ScreenShot App is operated by Weldon Ryan, an individual based in the United States, who is the data controller for the personal data described here. That means we decide how and why your data is used. Reach us through the contact page.
What we collect and why
- Account details (name, email, login credentials) — to create and run your account. Basis: contract.
- Your content (app names, screenshots, images, store text, store connection details you add) — to provide the Service. Basis: contract.
- Contact and support messages — to reply and help you. Basis: legitimate interests.
- Usage and device data (IP address, browser, device identifiers, pages used) — for security, fraud prevention, and improving the product. Basis: legitimate interests.
- Plan and subscription status — to unlock the features you paid for. Basis: contract.
Payment card details are collected by Paddle, not by us.
Who we share it with
- Service providers who host our app and database, and AI providers that generate copy and analyse screenshots.
- Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for selling our plans, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing.
- Apple and Google, only when you choose to publish to their stores.
- Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants.
- Authorities where the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. Under U.S. state privacy laws, we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those words are defined, and we do not knowingly sell or share personal information of anyone under 16.
Your rights in the United States
U.S. state privacy laws (including California's CCPA/CPRA and similar laws in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Utah, Oregon, and other states) give you rights over your personal information, subject to the law of the state where you live:
- Know and access — ask what personal information we hold about you, and receive a copy.
- Correct — ask us to fix inaccurate personal information.
- Delete — ask us to delete personal information we collected from you.
- Opt out of sale or sharing — not applicable, because we do not sell or share personal information.
- Limit sensitive information — not applicable, because we do not collect sensitive personal information.
- Non-discrimination — we will not penalise you for exercising these rights.
To make a request, use the contact page and say which right you are using. We verify your identity by matching the email address on your account; if you send someone else to act for you, they need your written permission. We answer free of charge within 45 days (extendable once by 45 days) and deliver the answer to you by email. If we decline your request, we will tell you why and how to appeal — you can appeal within 60 days. You may make two requests per year.
If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you can contact the Attorney General of the state where you live, or the Federal Trade Commission.
If you live outside the United States
We are based in the United States, so your data is processed there and in the countries where our providers operate. Where the law of your country requires safeguards for that transfer, we rely on recognised measures such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions. You keep the rights your local law gives you, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
California disclosures
Categories of personal information collected in the last 12 months, the sources, and why:
- Identifiers (name, email, account credentials, IP address, device identifiers) — from you and your device — to run your account and keep the Service secure.
- Commercial information (plan, subscription status, purchase history) — from you and Paddle — to bill you and unlock your plan.
- Internet or network activity (pages and features used, crash reports) — from your use of the Service — for security, diagnostics, and improvement.
- Visual or audio information (screenshots and images you upload) — from you — to create your screenshots and launch packages.
We disclose these categories only to the service providers listed above. We do not collect sensitive personal information and do not keep information about anyone we know to be under 16.
How long we keep it
We keep account data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, and contact messages for up to 24 months. We then delete or anonymise it, unless we must keep it longer by law.
Security
We use encryption in transit, encrypted storage for store credentials, and strict access controls to protect your data.
Cookies
We only use essential cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and run the app. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not allow third parties to track you on our site. You can clear them in your browser settings, but you'll be signed out.
Changes and governing law
If we change this notice we will post the new version here and update the date above. This notice is governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Weldon Ryan resides.
